Overview

The Pinus patula, commonly called Mexican Weeping Pine or Jelecote Pine, is a slender evergreen reaching up to 100 feet tall with a spread of 15-30 feet. Its distinctive pendulous branches bear bright green, flexible needles about 6-12 inches long, arranged in fascicles of three. This species prefers well-drained, acidic soils and thrives in USDA zones 7-10. Ideal for creating vertical accents in large landscapes, it radiates a graceful, soft aesthetic.
