European Larch

Overview

The European Larch, Larix decidua, is deciduous, coniferous royalty, with a mature height of 60-100 feet. It boasts a pyramidal shape in youth, becoming more open with age. Its needles turn a stunning golden yellow before dropping in fall. Preferring full sun, it thrives in well-drained soils and features 1-2-inch cones. Hardy to zone 2, it's a majestic choice for seasonal interest in large landscape designs.
