The San Pedro Cactus, or Trichocereus pachanoi, is a fast-growing columnar cactus native to the Andes. It reaches heights of 10-20 feet at maturity with a diameter of 6-8 inches. This cactus prefers well-drained soils and full sun exposure. Its ribbed, green body is punctuated by areoles producing white, nocturnal flowers suited to desert or xeriscaped landscapes for its minimal water needs and striking vertical form.
