Overview

Sidalcea campestris, commonly known as meadow checkermallow, is a herbaceous perennial boasting showy pink to lavender hibiscus-like flowers in summer. It has a clumping habit, reaching 2-4 feet tall and spreading up to 1.5 feet wide. Preferring full sun to part shade, it thrives in well-drained soil. This North American native is excellent for attracting pollinators and adds vertical interest to borders and wildflower gardens. Hardy in Zones 5-9.
