Yerba Buena
Satureja Douglasii
Overview
Yerba Buena (Satureja douglasii) is an aromatic perennial groundcover native to the western U.S. Thriving in partial shade, it typically reaches 3-6 inches high with a spread up to 3 feet. Tiny white flowers bloom from late spring to early summer. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and is excellent for naturalizing shaded areas. Yerba Buena's creeping habit and minty fragrance make it ideal for sensory gardens and as a culinary herb.
