Blue Torch Cactus

Pilosocereus Azureus

Design with this plant

Overview

Wooly Blue Spires (Pilosocereus azureus) is an exotic columnar cactus, prized for its striking, powdery blue stems that reach up to 33 feet tall with a diameter of 4-6 inches. Its woolly areoles and nocturnal, white flowers add interest, with potential blooms from young at about 6 feet. Hardy in USDA zones 10+, this low-maintenance, full-sun species requires well-draining soil, offering a dramatic vertical element to xeriscapes and dry gardens.
