Overview
Phlomis lanata, or Compact Yellow Phlomis, is a low-growing, evergreen shrub with woolly, oval leaves. It produces vibrant yellow flowers atop 12-inch stalks that add a splash of color in spring to summer. Hardy in USDA zones 7-10, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, reaching a mature size of about 2 feet wide and tall. Drought-tolerant and deer-resistant, it's an excellent choice for xeriscaping or Mediterranean gardens.
