Phlomis italica, known as Balearic Island Sage, is a Mediterranean perennial valued for its woolly, heart-shaped leaves and whorls of pink-purple flowers. Grows up to 3 feet tall and wide, prefers well-drained soil, and thrives in full sun. It's drought-tolerant and deer-resistant, providing excellent low-maintenance ground cover and attracting pollinators. Ideal for xeriscaping and Mediterranean-style gardens. Hardy in USDA zones 8-10.
