Red Rose Penstemon
Penstemon Superbus
Overview
The Red Rose Penstemon (Penstemon superbus) enchants with trumpet-shaped blooms in vibrant cerise. Flourishing in zones 6-10, it thrives under full sun to partial shade. This perennial reaches 2-3 feet in height and spreads 1-2 feet, demanding well-draining soil. Low-water needs and hummingbird allure make it an excellent xeriscape specimen. Blooms appear from late spring to early summer, providing a striking visual accent in arid garden designs.
