Overview

Penstemon, commonly known as Beard Tongue, is a vibrant perennial with tubular flowers blooming in shades from pastel to deep blues and reds. Ranging typically from 1 to 3 feet in height, they attract hummingbirds and butterflies. They thrive in well-drained soil and require full sun to partial shade. Hardy in USDA zones 3-9, Penstemons offer a low-maintenance choice adding color and height to borders and wildflower gardens.
