Overview
'Lavender Sapphires' Bearded Penstemon, or Penstemon barbatus 'Lavender Sapphires', is a mounded perennial with green foliage and lavender-blue tubular flowers that attract bees and hummingbirds. It matures at 16-18 inches tall and 20-24 inches wide. Grow in full sun with average to fertile, sharply drained soil and average water; avoid wet winter conditions. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-8.
