Overview

The Penstemon barbatus 'Rose Rhinestones' is a compact perennial with deep rose-pink tubular blooms above fresh green foliage, attracting bees and hummingbirds. It forms a mounded clump 14-16 inches tall and 20-24 inches wide. Best in full sun with average to fertile, well-drained soil and average water, it dislikes wet winter conditions. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-8.
