Purple Prickly Pear
Opuntia Santa-Rita Tubac™
Overview
The Opuntia santa-rita 'Tubac', or Purple Prickly Pear, is a drought-tolerant cactus reaching 4-5 ft in height and spread. Notable for its purple-tinged, round, flat pads and vibrant yellow flowers, this striking specimen adds a burst of color and unique texture to xeriscapes. Spines provide a deterrent against wildlife, and it thrives in full sun with minimal maintenance. Hardy in zones 8-11 with excellent drainage.
