Overview
Nicotiana tabacum, commonly known as Smoking Tobacco, is an annual herbaceous plant reaching heights of 3-6 feet. Its large, lanceolate leaves, up to 24 inches in length, are harvested for their nicotine-rich properties. Trumpet-shaped, pink to white flowers bloom in summer, adding ornamental value. Prefers full sun and well-drained soils. Utilize as a feature plant for its cultural significance and striking foliage in zones 8-11. Caution: all plant parts are toxic when ingested.
