Overview
The Monarda hybrid 'Red Velvet' is a clump-forming perennial with large, fragrant cherry-red flowers over green foliage, with bronze tones on new growth. It reaches about 32 inches tall and spreads up to 36 inches wide. Best in full sun to part sun, it prefers rich, moist soil but adapts to average garden soil with regular water and good air circulation. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-8.
