Overview

Luma apiculata, commonly known as the Chilean myrtle, is an evergreen shrub reaching heights of 10-15 ft with a similar spread. It boasts aromatic, glossy, dark green leaves and delicate white flowers in summer, followed by purplish-black berries. Its striking, exfoliating cinnamon-brown bark adds year-round interest. Thriving in USDA zones 8-10, it prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, tolerating some drought once established.
