Overview
Devil's Tobacco (Lobelia tupa) is a statuesque perennial, flourishing to heights of 5-6 feet. Its striking red-tinged foliage and distinctive tall spires of deep scarlet flowers add drama from summer to early fall. The plant prefers well-drained soil and thrives in full sun to part shade. Hardy to USDA Zone 7, Lobelia tupa commands attention in borders and as a focal point. Toxic if ingested; handle with care.
