Thuringian Mallow

Overview

The Tomentose Tree Mallow, Lavatera thuringiaca, is a hardy, herbaceous perennial with striking pink blooms. It reaches 5-8 ft tall, flourishing in full sun and well-drained soil. This mallow's dense, silver-fuzzy foliage adds textural contrast. Blooms appear abundantly midsummer to early fall, attracting pollinators. Space plants 2-3 ft apart for a lush display. Hardy in zones 5-9, it's ideal for mixed borders or as a garden focal point.
