Devil Cholla
Grusonia Kunzei
Overview
Devil Cholla (Grusonia kunzei) is a spiny, shrub-like cactus reaching up to 2 feet in height, with a spread of up to 3 feet. Notable for its segmented, tuberculate stems and formidable thorns, this hardy plant thrives in arid zones (USDA zones 9-11). Minimal water and full sunlight suit its growth. It blooms yellow flowers followed by red fruits, offering striking contrast against its green stems. Caution advised due to sharp spines.
