Design with this plant

Overview

Blue gum (Eucalyptus globulus), a towering evergreen reaching heights of 180-230 feet, is named for its silvery-blue foliage. Native to Australia, it thrives in mild, coastal climates (USDA zones 8-10). Its fast growth and adaptability make it suitable for windbreaks and screening, but it requires ample space. Roots can be invasive; plant 30-50 feet away from structures. Leaves exude a refreshing, aromatic scent, with notable essential oil uses.
