Design with this plant

Overview

The Gas Plant, Dictamnus albus, is a perennial herb known for its unique ability to exude a flammable gas on warm evenings. Grows to 2-4 ft tall and wide, preferring full sun to part shade and well-drained soil. It showcases spikes of fragrant white or pink flowers in late spring to early summer. Caution advised due to its toxic nature and potential skin irritation. Adds a striking vertical element to borders or cottage gardens.
