Overview
Asclepias viridis, commonly known as Spider Milkweed, is a native perennial reaching heights of 1-2 feet. Prized for its vivid green foliage and clusters of greenish-white flowers with purple centers blooming in late spring to early summer, this milkweed is an essential host for Monarch butterflies. Preferring full sun to partial shade, it thrives in zones 4-9 and adapts well to dry or well-drained soils, adding texture and color to wildflower gardens.
