Soaptree Yucca
Yucca Elata
Overview
The Soaptree Yucca (Yucca elata) is a resilient desert perennial, reaching up to 15 feet tall. Its defining features include a thick, central stem, crowned by a cluster of narrow, pale green leaves, up to 4 feet long. Come late spring, spectacular creamy-white flowers bloom on stalks up to 6 feet high. This drought-tolerant species prefers full sun and well-drained soils, making it an excellent accent in arid landscapes.
