The Canyon Sunflower (Venegasia carpesioides) is a perennial native to California's canyons and foothills. It thrives in USDA zones 7-10, reaching 2-4 feet high and spreading up to 6 feet. This sun-lover features bright yellow daisy-like flowers from late winter to early summer. Tolerance to part shade and drought makes it versatile for dry gardens and wildflower meadows. It's an excellent choice for erosion control and attracts pollinators.
