Arborvitae

Overview

Arborvitae, or Thuja occidentalis, is an evergreen conifer commonly used for privacy hedges. This resilient tree boasts dense, scale-like leaves, and matures to 20-30 feet tall with a spread of 10-15 feet. Prefers full to partial sun, adapts to various soils, and requires minimal care once established. Its conical shape and attractive green foliage make it an excellent choice for both formal and informal landscape designs. USDA zones 2-7.
