Giant Feather Grass
Stipa Gigantea
Overview
Giant Feather Grass, or "Stipa gigantea," is a striking ornamental grass, standing at an impressive 4 to 6 feet tall with a spread of 2 to 3 feet. It flaunts tall, airy golden panicles in summer, which sway gracefully and provide a delicate texture against a backdrop of bluish-green, linear leaves. This low-maintenance perennial thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, offering year-round interest even in winter months.
