Design with this plant

Overview

Sporobolus wrightii, or Windbreaker Giant Sacaton, is a robust ornamental grass reaching up to 7ft tall with a spread of 3-5ft. Its fine-textured, blue-green foliage forms dense, flowing clumps. In late summer to fall, airy, reddish-tan inflorescences rise above the foliage, adding movement and grace. Thriving in USDA zones 5-9, it's drought-tolerant, adaptable to various soils, and excellent for erosion control and as a privacy screen.
