Overview
The Spiraea japonica 'Red' is a compact deciduous shrub with burgundy spring foliage that matures to green and deep crimson-pink flower clusters in late spring. It forms a dense mound 24-36 inches tall and wide. Best in part sun to full sun, it grows in moist, well-drained soil with average water and light pruning after bloom. Hardy in USDA Zones 3-8.
