Overview
The Kaffir Lily (Schizostylis coccinea) is a perennial boasting slender, sword-like leaves reaching up to 2 feet long, and vibrant, star-shaped red or pink flowers atop 2-3 foot stems. Blooming late in the season, from late summer to fall, it's ideal for adding a splash of color when most other plants are fading. Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 6-9.
