Umbrella Tree

Schefflera Actinophylla

Design with this plant

Overview

The Umbrella Tree, or Schefflera actinophylla, is a tropical evergreen with a towering presence reaching up to 50 feet tall. Its signature feature is the whorled clusters of glossy, elongated leaves that radiate like an umbrella, providing dense foliage coverage. For best growth, position in bright, indirect light. In a landscape, it imparts a lush, exotic touch but requires space to accommodate its expansive canopy, potentially spanning over 15 feet in width.
