Lemony Lace® Elderberry

Overview

Lemony Lace® Elderberry, or Sambucus racemosa, is a deciduous mounded shrub with finely cut golden foliage, red-flushed new growth, and early white spring flowers before the leaves emerge. It matures 4-7 feet tall and wide. Grow it in sun to part sun, with afternoon shade in hot southern sites, average water, and well-drained soil; prune after bloom to preserve flowers. Hardy in USDA Zones 4-7.
