Irish Moss
Sagina Subulata
Overview
Sagina subulata, commonly known as Irish Moss, is a lush, evergreen ground cover with fine, needle-like foliage. It blooms tiny, star-shaped white flowers in spring and summer and grows densely up to 1-2 inches in height, spreading around 12 inches in width. Preferring partial shade to full sun, this plant thrives in moist, well-drained soil. Ideal for filling gaps between stepping stones, it creates a soft, green carpet-like appearance.
