Design with this plant

Overview

Polypodium californicum, or California Polypody, is a versatile evergreen fern. Thriving in USDA zones 7-10, it grows 1-2 feet in height with a similar spread. Prefers shade to partial sun and well-draining soil. Its distinctive, leathery green fronds add lush texture to woodland gardens and shaded areas. Requires minimal care, drought-tolerant once established, and naturally resists pests, making it an appealing, low-maintenance choice for landscapes.
