Reed Canary Grass
Phalaris Arundinacea Picta
Overview
Reed Canary Grass (Phalaris arundinacea 'Picta') is a variegated, perennial grass with ribbon-like leaves streaked in green and white, reaching up to 2-3 feet in height. Its spreading habit makes it ideal for filling spaces or creating borders. It thrives in moist conditions and full to partial sun. For interest, feathery flower heads emerge in summer. Zone hardy 4-9, it requires regular monitoring to control its invasive potential.
