Feathertop Grass
Pennisetum Villosum
Overview
Feathertop Grass (Pennisetum villosum) is an ornamental, clumping perennial reaching 18-30 inches tall and 12-24 inches wide. Flaunting fluffy, white flower plumes during summer to fall, it adds soft texture to gardens. This sun-loving grass thrives in USDA zones 9-11 and tolerates moderate drought once established. Suitable as a focal point or in mass plantings, it contrasts well with bold-leaved plants and requires minimal maintenance.
