Proso Millet
Panicum Miliaceum
Overview
Proso millet (Panicum miliaceum) is an annual grass with a robust growth habit, typically reaching 2 to 4 feet in height. It sports narrow, lance-shaped leaves and produces dense, drooping seed heads with small, round grains. Adaptable and drought-resistant, it thrives in full sun across various soil types. Its golden-brown inflorescences add texture to garden designs and attract birds. Plant in USDA zones 4-9 for optimum growth.
