Redwood Sorrel
Oxalis Oregana
Overview
Redwood Sorrel (Oxalis oregana) is an evergreen groundcover, native to the Pacific Northwest. Thriving in moist, shaded areas under Redwoods, it bears heart-shaped leaves and delicate white-to-pink flowers. Sorrel spreads 5-12 inches high and can colonize extensively. Foliage responds to light, folding downward in strong sun. Prefers acidic soil with organic matter. Hardy and low-maintenance, it adds lush, woodland charm to shaded gardens. Zone: 7-9.
