Overview
The Ogeechee Tupelo (Nyssa aquatica) is a striking deciduous tree, thriving in wet conditions, often found along riverbanks. Its pyramidal form matures into a rounded canopy, reaching 50-80 feet tall with a 30-50 foot spread. Notable for its shiny green leaves that transition to dazzling yellow-orange in fall and small, greenish-white flowers. It provides habitat for wildlife and the spring blooms attract pollinators. Resilient in zones 6-9, it requires full sun to partial shade.
