Overview
Deer Grass (Muhlenbergia rigens) is a fast-growing, clumping perennial grass that reaches 3-4 feet in height and width. Native to the Southwest US, it sports slender, arching leaves and airy flower panicles that rise above the foliage in fall. This low-maintenance, drought-tolerant species thrives in full sun to light shade and adapts to various soil types. It provides movement in gardens and is excellent for erosion control. Deer resistant.
