Southern Magnolia
Magnolia Grandiflora Espalier
Overview
The Southern Magnolia, or Magnolia grandiflora 'Espalier', is an evergreen tree prized for its glossy leaves and large, aromatic white flowers. As an espalier, it's trained to grow flat against a structure, reaching up to 20 feet tall and 10 feet wide. It thrives in zones 7-9 and prefers full sun to partial shade. Ideal for creating a lush, vertical accent in limited spaces with well-draining, acidic soil.
