Overview
The Japanese Privet, Ligustrum japonicum, is an evergreen shrub, admired for its dense, glossy foliage. Growing 6-12 feet tall with a spread of 5-8 feet, it forms a compact, oval shape. Adaptable to various soils, it thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires moderate water. White flower clusters bloom in spring, followed by black berries. It's excellent for hedges, screens, or as a foundation plant. Zones 7-10.
