Overview

Leycesteria formosa, commonly known as Himalayan Honeysuckle, is a deciduous shrub with graceful, arching branches. Reaching up to 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide, it boasts hollow, bamboo-like stems and lush green leaves. In summer to fall, pendulous clusters of white flowers and purple bracts add a dramatic flair, attracting butterflies and birds. Thriving in USDA zones 7-9, it prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.
