California Aster
Lessingia Filaginifolia
Overview
The California Aster (Lessingia filaginifolia) is a robust perennial native to the Western U.S. This sun-loving aster thrives in dry conditions, reaching 1-3 feet in height with a similar spread. Its silvery foliage and late summer-to-fall display of lavender to pink daisy-like flowers, each spanning 1-2 inches across, attract pollinators. Ideal for xeriscapes, it adds a splash of color and adapts well to poor soils. Zones 7-10.
