Creosote Bush

Overview

The Creosote Bush (Larrea tridentata) is a resilient evergreen shrub, native to arid deserts of the Southwest. It flourishes in full sun, reaching 3 to 4 feet in height and width. Its small, dark green leaves exude a distinctive rain-like fragrance post-rainfall. Yellow flowers bloom in spring and summer. This drought-tolerant plant prefers well-draining soils and minimal water once established, ideal for xeriscaping with its low maintenance requirements.
