Scotch Laburnum
Laburnum Alpinum
Overview
Scotch Laburnum (Laburnum alpinum), an ornamental deciduous tree, reaches up to 20 feet tall with a spread of 15 feet. Famed for its pendulous clusters of vivid yellow flowers, it blooms in late spring. The gray-green foliage adds a serene backdrop. Thriving in well-drained soils, it requires full sun to partial shade. Caution: Its seeds are highly toxic if ingested. Ideal for accentuating height in garden designs.
