Overview
Iris cristata, commonly known as Dwarf Crested Iris, is a charming native perennial featuring vibrant purple-blue flowers with yellow crested markings. This low-growing gem reaches a height of only 4-6 inches with a similar spread, thriving in partial to full shade. Ideal for woodland gardens and border fronts, it requires well-drained soil, blooming profusely in April to May. Hardy in zones 3-9, it's a low-maintenance addition offering early spring color.
