Jet Black™ Sweet Potato Vine

Overview

Jet Black™ Sweet Potato Vine, or Ipomoea batatas, is a trailing annual prized for near-black, purple heart-shaped foliage that gives plantings dramatic contrast. It grows 6-16 inches tall and spreads 20-36 inches. Plant in part sun to sun with average, well-drained soil and regular water; it tolerates heat and works beautifully as a container spiller or groundcover. Hardy in USDA Zones 11a-11b.
