Overview

The Hydrangea arborescens is a mounded deciduous shrub with dark green foliage and enormous white, snowball-like blooms that age to jade green. It matures at 4-5 feet tall and wide, with sturdy stems that hold flowers upright. Plant in part sun to sun, in well-drained soil with average moisture; water during hot spells and prune in spring. Hardy in USDA Zones 3-8.
