Overview
Houstonia caerulea, commonly known as Quaker Ladies or Bluets, is a charming perennial wildflower. Sporting sky-blue petals with a yellow center, it grows to a modest height of 6 inches. Preferring full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil, it flourishes in USDA zones 3-7. Its delicate blooms emerge in spring, offering a low-maintenance ground cover ideal for rock gardens and naturalized woodland areas.
