Fortune Hosta
Hosta Fortunei
Overview
The Fortune Hosta (Hosta fortunei) enlivens shady gardens with its lush foliage. This perennial thrives in zones 3-9, requiring well-drained soil. Leaves range from chartreuse to deep green, with a spread of 36-48 inches and a height of 18-24 inches. Summer blooms of pale lavender arise on 30-inch stalks. Ideal for borders, it's a low-maintenance choice, requiring minimal care once established in a moist, shaded spot. Mulch to retain moisture and deter weeds.
